My theory as to why Artemis hadn't been mentioned in Young Justice: Invasion talk. (Which has recently been amended, she has been confirmed to be in season 2)
That Wally freaks out about the similarities to the training exercise and locks Artemis away for the duration of the alien invasion.

Artemis: Wallace! Let me out of here right now! I need to help fight!
Wally: I'm sorry Artemis; I can't do that. There's no way I'm going to lose you...Not again.

That's awesome! Can you do one of Artemis as a reporter and Wally as the Flash? Ya no, cuz that's how Linda and Wally met in the comics and junk........
